U.S. dollar closes sharply higher on Taipei forex market

Taipei, June 23 (CNA) The U.S. dollar rose sharply against the Taiwan dollar Monday, gaining NT$0.205 to close at the day's high of NT$29.734.

Turnover totaled US$1.432 billion during the trading session.

The greenback opened at the day's low of NT$29.570 and gathered momentum into the end of the session.
